Pole Dance has more to offer than it initially seems. As a newbie, one often starts with Pole Sport or Fitness, focusing on the technique and execution of spins, figures, and floorwork elements. Once a foundation has been established, a diverse world opens up, offering something to every Pole Dancer.

Pole Dance/ Sport
In Pole Dance/Sport, strength, endurance, and technique take center stage. Participants learn complex figures, spins, and climbing techniques, often requiring impressive muscular strength. Competitions are held worldwide, where participants impress with their athletic prowess and technical skill.
Pole Fitness (Power Pole)
As a complement to Pole Dance, Pole Fitness can help build the necessary endurance and muscle strength. This intensive full-body workout includes not only strength and stability exercises on the pole but also additional training equipment such as dumbbells and resistance bands. The goal of Pole Fitness is to prepare the muscular system for challenging figures and strength elements, thereby preventing injuries and improving overall fitness.
Lyrical Pole (Contemporary)
United with lyrical elements and expressive music, simple figures and spins can evolve into a beautiful choreography. Contemporary or Lyrical Pole Dance is a creative and expressive form of Pole Dance that integrates elements of contemporary dance. It's about conveying emotions and stories through fluid movements and poetic expressions. Dancers often use unconventional movements and choreographic sequences to establish an emotional connection with the audience. Contemporary/Lyrical Pole Dance is an inspiring art form that blurs the boundaries between dance and performance art.
Pole Double
Pole Double is a fascinating and challenging form of Pole Dance performed by two Pole Dancers simultaneously. It focuses on demonstrating collaboration, synchronicity, and trust between the double partners. They rely on spectacular figures, acrobatic tricks, and choreographic sequences to deliver an impressive performance.
A double or duo typically consists of a flyer and a base, with roles that can interchange. The base supports the flyer during figures, giving them a special responsibility. The flyer depends on the base to keep them stable and safely return them to the ground or to the pole in case of any issues. It's a form of pole that demands extensive communication between two dancers and rewards them with a collaboration that can lead to deep friendships.
This double can be expanded by one or more individuals in a Pole Group, requiring intense collaboration to create a harmonious and synchronized performance together.
Both Pole Doubles and Pole Groups can focus on different styles such as Pole Sports, Contemporary, or Exotic.
Lollipop Pole
The Pole Dance pole combined with the Aerial Hoop offers a wide variety of figures and spinning elements. The Lollipop consists of a Pole Stage, which includes a Pole Dance pole, on top of which a coated hoop is attached. This allows for both Pole Dance and Aerial Hoop elements to be practiced. The low pole can sometimes be a hindrance for hoop elements, but this combination also offers the opportunity to create new elements and combinations, making it a great, yet somewhat lesser-known, addition to traditional pole.
Exotic Pole (Sensual/ Heels)
If someone had asked me a few years ago if I wanted to try Exotic, I would have declined ashamedly. Because a few years ago, much effort was put into shedding the "stripper image" from Pole. And I wanted nothing to do with it, as I had already heard often enough how scandalous the reputation of Pole was. Today, Pole Dance is recognized far more as a demanding sport, and the path has also been paved for Exotic Pole.
But why does Exotic Pole still have a bad reputation among some Pole Dancers today? Because many associate the high heels with a** shaking at the pole and underestimate the effort involved to create a fluid and playfully light looking execution. Exotic Pole is known for its sensual and graceful aesthetic. Depending on the style, it's less about acrobatic tricks and more about the art of sensuality and expression. Dancers rely on fluid movements, floorwork, and playing with the pole. This style of Pole Dance is a wonderful way to boost self-confidence and body awareness. Similar to Pole Dance itself, Exotic Pole has become incredibly diverse, offering something for every taste, from the very sensual Pole Classique, the flow-based Russian Exotic, to the powerful and dynamic Exotic Hard.

It is open to everyone to focus their attention. However, it is important to mention that our open and supportive Pole community has no place for individuals who judge or belittle others based on their Pole Dance preferences.
Everyone has the right to find and pursue their own path in Pole, whether it's in the athletic realm, Exotic Pole, or any other style direction. We should encourage each other to experiment, grow, and express ourselves in the art of Pole Dance without being restricted by the prejudices or judgments of others. Ultimately, Pole Dance is not just about technique and aesthetics, but also about self-discovery, self-love, and community ❤️
